Josh Hawley Exposes Jan. 6 ‘Candlelight Vigil’ Where Pelosi Spoke As Being Organized By ‘Antifa Radicals’

A “candlelight vigil” is being held tonight outside of the U.S. Capitol and U.S. Sen Josh Hawley (R-MO) exposed it as being organized by “Antifa radicals.”

In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Hawley called on them to condemn the vigil.

Instead, the two elected officials along with others attended the theatrics and Pelosi even spoke, marking one year since the “insurrection” and asking for a moment of silence.

Hawley declared in a tweet that included his letter, “Dems ‘candlelight vigil’ for democracy today organized by antifa radicals who have encouraged rioting, harassed elected officials, tried to disrupt Trump inauguration, & last year harassed my wife & child and were charged with criminal trespass.”

“Dems who attend this support them,” Hawley insisted.

ShutDownDC, who held the event, which they dubbed “Candlelight vigil for Democracy,” quote tweeted Hawley and mocked, “@HawleyMO doesn’t want you to come to this vigil!”

The group later tweeted out a picture of their setup and said, “Here at the #January6 vigil on the Mall. Democracy only works when #VotersDecide. Let’s keep fighting for that promise. Pass the #FreedomToVoteAct and the #JLVRAA.”

Brendan Gutenschwager tweeted video of the event and reported, “Candles lit at tonight’s January 6th vigil outside the Capitol Building, as lawmakers and congressional staff recount their stories from inside the building one year ago today #January6th
