Tennessee AG Joins in on Support for Texas SCOTUS Lawsuit, We Have the Full List Here

Tennessee Republican Attorney General, Herbert H. Slatery III has released a statement regarding the Texas lawsuit. He has now expressed public support for the amicus brief. Below is his statement.

“The Tennessee Attorney General’s Office has consistently taken the position that only a State’s legislature has the authority to make and change election laws. This Office pressed that argument in cases defending Tennessee’s election laws against pandemic-related challenges and in amicus briefs in cases involving similar challenges in other courts. This is not something new. Texas’s action in the Supreme Court seeks to vindicate the same important separation-of-powers principles, and that is why we joined Missouri’s amicus brief in support of that action.”

He joins the long list of southern states to support the Texas lawsuit in which we have previously reported on. 

We also may have a list of all the states that have joined Texas’ lawsuit to the Supreme Court. It is important to note we can’t 100% confirm this list however it does come from a credible source.

The States are Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Missouri, Utah, and West Virginia. 

We are also monitoring the Idaho AG as there are reports that he is considering joining the states.
