Florida State Rep Sabatini Files Bill to Ban Transgender Women from Women’s Sports and Stop Surgeries on Children

Pro-Trump state legislator Anthony Sabatini (R-FL) has just filed a bill into the Republican-controlled Florida State Legislature that would ban transgender women from competing in biological women’s sports and banning children from having transgender surgery in the state of Florida. Below is his tweet including the bill.

“JUST FILED HB 935, a Bill that disallows transgender men from competing in girls sports in school. The Bill also makes it illegal to perform transgender surgery on children. Both women’s sports and our children must be protected from radical social experimentation.”

Rep. Sabatini called children being able to have transgender surgery and transgender women being able to compete in women’s sports as a ‘radical social experiment’ saying, “Both women’s sports and our children must be protected from radical social experimentation.”

The issue of transgenderism has become more prevalent in this country as more people are allowing transgender women (biological men who now identify as women) to compete against biological women in women’s sports. Some see this as a mistake as biological men are stronger and can overpower women on most occasions making the playing field uneven.

More and more cases of parents in what some see as almost forcing their children or leading their young children to be transgender have been occurring. This issue has faced criticism from those on the right as transgender people have much higher suicide rates and some question the social morality of it.

Sabatini has shown his commitment to socially conservative values and persevering the much-loved tradition by conservatives of not interchanging men and women in activities like sports.
