Buffalo Police Officers Who Allegedly Pushed Over Elderly Left-Wing Activist Have Charges Dismissed

The Buffalo Police officers who pushed a 75-year-old elderly man to the ground during a BLM protest in the summer of 2020 have had their charges against them dismissed today as the New York Post reported. Below you can see the tweet.

A grand jury in New York dismissed the assault charges of the two officers who lightly pushed the elderly man backward which then caused him to fall to the ground in June. In the video of the altercation, you can see the man approach the police officers as they are marching forward, and then some officers shout, push him back and they then push him.

Robert McCabe and Aaron Torgalski were the two Buffalo Police officers who were facing the charges of assaulting a 75-year-old male, Martin Gugino to the pavement which caused his skull to be fractured and he began bleeding from his head.

You can hear a protestor say, “He is bleeding. He is bleeding out of his ears.” The brittle man was substantially hurt during the altercation last June.

Gugino was allegedly breaking the law as he was violating a city-mandated curfew at the time and did seem to approach the officers. It is also important to note that he is a long time activist and has been arrested four times in his life. Some could say he was looking for trouble, though it is good no one died.
