According to right-wing podcast host Dinesh D’Souza, a Federal Judge refused to give a January 6th capital protestor a harsh sentence citing minimal consequences for BLM and Antifa rioters.
“For the first time, a federal judge refuses to sentence a January 6 defendant harshly, faulting the U.S. government for giving a free pass to antifa and BLM rioters. My take!”

Some on the right may see this as a victory as they don’t believe those who walked through the capital should have been arrested and thrown in jail. The Oklahoma woman who D’Souza mentions went through a broken window and was yelling in the capital.
Some may recall that Antifa and Black Lives Matter members did much worse in the summer of 2020 as BLM protestors and riots infested American cities. Businesses were looted and burned which most would find worse than walking through the capital for less than 30 minutes.
Most people who did enter the capital didn’t participate or engage in any violent actions however the group has been widely stereotyped as “domestic terrorists” by the majority of the Democrat party. Either way, the family of the January 6th protestor must be relieved she will not be rotting in a D.C. cell.
Politico reported on how D.C. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden said, “I think the U.S. attorney would have more credibility if it was even-handed in its concern about riots and mobs in this city.” Judge McFadden appears to be saying the U.S. attorney has more concern for the January 6th protestors than BLM protestors.
On the other side of the debate, we have Obama-appointed Judge Chutkan who said, “Some have compared what took place on Jan. 6 with other protests that took place throughout the country through the past year and have suggested that the Capitol rioters are being treated unfairly. I flatly disagree.”
