Senate Republicans made an unusual stand Wednesday against the Democrats voting “rights” bill that would have fundamentally changed the U.S. voting laws.

Led by “RINO” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Republicans made a stand unanimously against the Democrat’s agenda. If passed and signed into law by Biden, this would overhaul the U.S. federal election codes in what many would see as favorable for Democrats in U.S. elections.
Biden said, “Today, Senate Democrats would like to start debate on the Freedom to Vote Act. Senate Democrats have worked hard to ensure this bill includes traditionally bipartisan provisions. But Senate Republicans are likely to block even debate on the bill, as they have before on previous voting rights bills. It’s unconscionable. The right to vote – to vote freely, to vote fairly, and to have your vote counted – is fundamental.”
Meanwhile, on the other side of the aisle, Senate Minority leader McConnell said, “The Senate knows how to make law in a productive, bipartisan way. We’ve done it this year on multiple subjects. We have done it on election issues themselves in recent memory when there was an actual problem that needed solving and an actually bipartisan process. But as long as Senate Democrats remain fixated on their radical agenda, this body will continue to do the job the framers assigned it, and stop terrible ideas in their tracks.”
We will have to see if the Democrats try any other moves however, they are in a tough position with zero bipartisan support and even pushback from members of their own party.
With Dems having only a slim majority in both chambers of Congress, Republicans have been able to slow and to an extent, prevent Biden’s agenda from passing.
