The January 6th Committee, investigating the attack on the Capitol has now subpoenaed Rudy Guiliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and Boris Epshteyn.

The Mississippi Democrat Congressman Bennie Thompson, who is the Chairman of the January 6th Committee, released a statement saying, “The Select Committee is looking into the causes that contributed to the violence on January 6th, including attempts to promote unsupported claims of election fraud and pressure campaigns to overturn the 2020 election results.
The four individuals we’ve subpoenaed today advanced unsupported theories about election fraud, pushed efforts to overturn the election results, or were in direct contact with the former President about attempts to stop the counting of electoral votes.”
Based on this statement, it appears any high-profile person who made claims of election fraud occurring in the 2020 election is at risk of being targeted by the committee. Former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani was targeted as the statement released attacked him, “You actively promoted claims of election fraud on behalf of former President Trump and sought to convince state legislators to take steps to overturn the election results.”
In terms of Jenna Ellis, they wrote that she “prepared and circulated two memos purporting to analyze the constitutional authority for the Vice President to reject or delay counting electoral votes from states that had submitted alternate slates of electors”. We will have to see what occurs next and if any of these people listed are going to comply with the subpoena.
