New Radical Leftist Minority Leader Wants ‘Common Ground for Progress’ but ‘Will Never Bend the Knee to an Extreme MAGA Republican Agenda’

U.S. House Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), the new minority leader, sent out a tweet sharing “We will seek common ground to make progress for everyday Americans.”

He then added a “But” to his statement. “But never bend the knee to an Extreme MAGA Republican agenda.”

Jeffries, it seems, is singing the same old song that Democrats sing when they lack the power to do anything. In my view they appear to claim they’re willing to work with Republicans, but in the same breath show they won’t budge.

YouTuber “Viva Frei” responded to Jeffries calling out the apparent hypocrisy in his tweet.

“You raging hypocrite… This tweet already is not a “seeking common ground” tweet. It is pure divisive, partisan, hyperbolic rhetoric intended to demonize, political adversaries, not unify parties. Try again.”

American voters will observe what actions House Democrats take in the 118th congress, if they will “bend” anything towards the MAGA agenda or if they will spew more divisive rhetoric while claiming to be trying to work with Republicans.

Many everyday Americans do not see Congress and Washington D.C. working for them, and it seems some politicians are sold out to PACs and corporations who fund their campaigns.

With six Republicans voting “present” instead of for Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, they have been labeled activist right-wing MAGA Republicans. Some of them were standing against omnibus budget bills and House rules that seem to give too much power to the leadership.

Concessions were made by McCarthy to get the six to change their votes from against him to just present, and everyone soon will see exactly what those were as the House is now set to get to work.

Democrats tried to use the Speaker of the House vote to paint a picture that they are the only unified party, however, there is division within both parties.
