Former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Fox News on Truth Social after watching a bit of it. He reminded everyone in his truth he believes Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis “Sucks, & so does FoxNews!”
Trump accused author Mark Thiessen of “pushing DeSanctus” and “giving bad info.” While on Fox News recently, Thiessen claimed that Trump “lost Iowa last time around”. Trump declared, “I won BIG.”
Trump continued on and shared that Fox News’ ratings have taken a massive hit after they took Tucker Carlson off the air in an abrupt manner three weeks ago. He stated that Fox News is, “a far cry from what they used to be.”
He then reminded everyone that without his endorsement DeSantis was a “dead man walking”. Many believe Trump’s endorsement is what solidified DeSantis as Governor of Florida.
Fox News, in the apparent view of Trump, has been covering DeSantis as though he has declared his run for president. Many Fox News hosts and commentators appear to be “gunning” for DeSantis in the race. It appears to Trump and others that Fox News may be helping to campaign for the undeclared governor.
The exact reason Fox News parted ways with Carlson isn’t exactly clear yet, however many have speculated that it had to do at least in part with the Dominion lawsuit. Others have speculated that Fox News wanted to move away from Carlson as he had been branded by the left as a right wing “extremist”.
It was recently announced that Carlson was suing Fox News for breach of contract and that he would be starting his own show that he would be releasing on Twitter. Carlson’s claim is that Fox News breached the contract when behind the scenes videos as well as texts were released of him.
Fox News it seems is struggling to recover after letting go of Carlson and many Carlson fans feel the same as Trump, that Fox News “sucks”. Megyn Kelly made a recent point that many will just keep keeping watching anyway because of the nice graphics.
