Recently, failed U.S. Senate and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke announced a run for Texas Governor early this morning. Current Governor of Texas Gregg Abbott responded to O’Rouke’s announcement on Twitter.
The response was short and simple. Abbott’s message reads, “Wrong for America. Wrong for Texas”. Below the message plays O’Rourke’s face, which transitions to Joe Biden’s face. Across Biden’s face reads “WRONG FOR AMERICA” the video then transitions back to O’Rourke now with the message, “WRONG FOR TEXAS”.
Wrong for America.

Beto failed in his attempt to run for the Democratic nomination for President in 2020. He also attempted to unseat Senator Ted Cruz in 2018 and lost by two points. O’Rourke has not held public office since he served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, winning his last race in November of 2016.
While campaigning for his Presidental run O’Rourke talked about gun confiscation and gun buy-back plans. Something that seemly backfired on the candidate. At one point, he seemly compared owning an AR-15 to owning a bazooka tank.
Abbott is serving his second term as Governor and is seeking a third. He does have some primary challengers such as Allen West and Donald Huffines.
Abbott has been focused on, medical freedoms for Texans, as well as securing the Texas southern border, which to many has been severely neglected by the Biden administration. Some have claimed that the United States southern border is an open border.
We will see what comes of Beto’s push for Governor. Stay tuned to Media Right News.
