After Two Black Teens Kill Pakistani Uber Driver, D.C. Mayor Bowser Tweets that ‘Carjacking is a Crime of Opportunity’

Two young Black teens killed a Pakistani Uber driver during an armed carjacking when the car drove off but then crashed resulting in the older man’s tragic death. Following that event, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) made an insensitive comment regarding carjacking and one that contradicts many of the Democrat’s other claims essentially blaming the victim for his death.

You can see in the video the man was forced halfway out of his car when the vehicle began to move at a high degree of speed when seconds later it crashed. While the two Black teens were stealing the car the man cried out, “This is my car.”

Seconds later he was dead when the car crashed and it fell over. The police were then called and it appears the two women were apprehended by the national guard.

While the man had just died one of the women was concerned about her phone saying, “my phone is in there.” Even after a man had just been murdered in the car she only cared about her phone.

To make matters worse, Sunday, the D.C. Mayor posted how carjackings are a “crime of opportunity” on Twitter, meaning they are committed without planning and she essentially blamed the man for having his car stolen and then being murdered by the two black women.

This rhetoric is contradictory to when a White person is the perpetrator and when there is a black victim as usually, the criminal is the one blamed not the defenseless victim.
