This doesn’t mean much except that all four states oppose this lawsuit going to the Supreme Court. Three of the four states have Democratic Attorney Generals but even Georgia Republican Attorney General Christopher Carr went against the Texas lawsuit.
This could cause some attacks from the president and other Republicans as the Georgia Republicans have consistently backstabbed the president. With two huge senate races coming up in Georgia, the Trump base might not turn out for them if the GA GOP isn’t supporting the president.
Georgia Attorney General Carr is up for re-election in 2022 which could cause him to potentially get primaried.
Even though the states are opposing the lawsuit, it doesn’t mean anything but lets everyone know where they stand. The Democrats and RINOs seem to be scared that if this does go to the Supreme Court, the president may win and overturn some of the results in these key swing states.
Democrats do seem to be panicking as over 100 House Republicans signed an amicus brief as we previously reported. It is also now being reported that 24 Senators and 69 house members in the Pennsylvania legislature also have signed amicus briefs in support of the Texas case going to the Supreme Court.
Recently though, PA State Senator Doug Mastriano, recently recovering from Covid-19, added that 93 legislators in Pennsylvania did indeed support the suit. If nothing else, this shows the divided sentiment in Pennsylvania and paints a picture that the nation may very well be divided across the board. The Supreme Court should use the constitution and give this a fair shake if nothing else.
