‘Anonymous’ Gun Owner Shoots and Kills Robber Holding Knife to Clerk’s Neck

On Saturday, July 16th, Lance Bush (26) was on what police believe was a crime spree, which came to an end at a QuickTrip in St Charles, MO.

It appears the QuickTrip where he met his demise was the third robbery he had conducted that morning. His crime spree started just before 3 am when he entered an On The Run convenience store. He forced the clerk to open two cash registers.

The clerk from On The Run was treated at a local hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries including cuts on her neck, left wrist, and right hand.

A burglary was reported at  Midtown Phillips 66 gas station between the first and third robberies, the items stolen were found in Bush’s vehicle.

According to reports Bush rushed into the QuickTrip, where he grabbed the clerk and brought her to the counter. The gun owner saw this from the outside and knew something wasn’t right. he walked up to the door and saw that Bush had a knife to the clerk’s throat.

The anonymous gun owner came into the QuickTrip and asked: “if everything was okay”. Bush told him “yes”, however, the clerk’s face was saying no.

The gun owner then took his gun out and asked “are you sure everything is okay?” Bush replied, “no it’s not, I got something for you.”

Bush then grabbed his bag and came around the counter and rushed the gun owner. The gun owner fired at Bush four times, then Bush fell to the floor. The clerk and the gun owner both called the police after this.

The gun owner believes there was no other choice as Bush already had a knife to the clerk’s throat and didn’t know if he had any other weapons.

Bush was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The gun owner wants to remain anonymous as he is afraid for his safety after the incident. he credits his previous training with guns and emergency situations which compelled him to step in.

Some people are calling the gun owner a hero and as he is afraid for his safety he knows there are people out there that see it differently.
