Reba McEntire ‘Trying Hard’ to get a ‘Reba’ Reboot as Anti Woke Content Thrives

“The queen of country”, Reba McEntire (67) is ready to get back “Reba” back on the air in a Reboot.

During an interview on The Bobby Bones show Reba shared, “We’ve really been trying hard to do a reboot of the Reba show. I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during that six and a half years.”

The show centered on the character Reba Nell Hart and her family, including her three children and her ex-husband and his new wife.

She continued to say, “It was fun, the cast the crew everybody we got to work with and play with, they were wonderful people. We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully, that will happen one day.”

According to “People Magazine” Reba isn’t alone in hoping for a reboot:

In February, actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher — who played Reba’s oldest daughter Cheyenne Montgomery (née Hart) — spoke about working with McEntire and the idea of rebooting the beloved series in an interview on The Art of Kindness podcast.

“She’s so powerful because she walks the walk. I get so excited when people ask me how she is. I’ll happily go on glowingly about this woman. She’s so strong even in uncertain moments, and she’s super grateful and gracious and kind,” Swisher, 42, told the outlet. “I really wouldn’t take her in a dogfight. Don’t underestimate her. She’s so strong. But I think she would win that dogfight not by beating the crap out of you. She would [with], you know, love. She’s just a really special human.”

On the topic of bringing back Reba, Swisher said at the time, “Are you kidding me? We’d love to do [a reboot]!”

“Reba” ran for six seasons following the family through the divorce, teenage pregnancy, the middle child’s eating disorder, and many other family issues, highlighting how the matriarch of the family handles those in her home.

Currently, Reba just released 12 new dates for 2022 where you could see “the queen of country” on stage.

As for the small screen, Reba has a lifetime movie coming out this year called “The Hammer” which she stars in alongside Melissa Peterman. It was announced earlier this year she would be joining the cast of Big Sky, playing local businesswoman Sunny Brick

Reba stays very busy, she started her music career in 1975 when she signed with PolyGram/Mercury Records. She then added acting to her belt in 1990 when she played Heather Gummer in the movie Tremors.

We may see a reboot of “Reba”, if we don’t we will still see much more of Reba she seems to stay on screen and on stage.
