Anti-Trump NY Prosecutor Who Quit Goes Rogue as Case Apparently Falls Apart, Lashes Out with Claims on his Own that Trump Committed ‘Felonies’

New York AG Letitia James has been after the Trump family relentlessly. But recently, when two prosecutors quit a stalled Manhattan-based Trump probe, the narrative began to lose steam. Although the New York state actions are different than the Manhattan actions, it could be speculated that it’s all part of one anti-Trump movement in the New York government.

Although we don’t expect James and other rogue judges in New York and around the nation to stop going after former President Donald Trump, this puts egg on their faces in our view.

Mark Pomerantz and Carey Dunne recently resigned after it was apparent to them that, in the words of the Washington Post: “District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) appeared uninterested in pursuing a case”. So it seems that the two actually quit because they didn’t feel they would get their way as apparent rogue left-wing prosecutors.

Pomerantz appears to be extra disgruntled. In our speculation, he is concerned that the resignations may have sent a signal that Donald Trump should get able to get off the hook scot-free. He wants to clear up the record though and tell people that although it appears the case has fallen apart, he thinks Donald Trump committed felonies anyway and should promptly be put in jail.

Although his opinion holds no legal weight, this may give left-leaning news outlets and pundits just the fuel they need to keep the Trump boogeyman alive in a time that the Russian-Ukrainian war and other issues are allowing Republicans to make Joe Biden look bad. Many may argue though, that Biden has done that all on his own.

From WaPo:

“The team that has been investigating Mr. Trump harbors no doubt about whether he committed crimes — he did,” Pomerantz’s letter said, according to a copy obtained by The Washington Post. The New York Times first reported on the contents of Pomerantz’s letter.

Pomerantz added that Trump lied to banks and other relevant parties committing “numerous felony violations” through his practice of filing bogus Statements of Financial Condition. Investigators under the district attorney and the New York attorney general spent years working to determine if Trump and the Trump Organization tried to decrease tax liability by falsely minimizing asset values while trying to obtain favorable loan rates using other fake estimates.

Pomerantz wants Trump to be criminally prosecuted, but in our estimation that is unlikely and he will probably be running for president in 2024 which will make it easy for the GOP to choose a nominee.

What happens with that election and the upcoming 2022 elections is anyone’s guess. If we had to opine, we think that despite demographic shifts, short-term radical left-wing policies could give the GOP some tailwinds, although that doesn’t ensure that they will listen to their constituents’ wants, even if they do take back power.
