Joe Biden’s hand-picked Attorney General, Merrick Garland, said that the Department of Justice will hold people accountable for January 6th even if they weren’t present.
“Garland: DOJ will hold those responsible for Jan. 6 riot accountable ‘whether they were actually present or committed other crimes’ “

In his address on Wednesday, he said, “The Justice Department remains committed to holding all January 6th perpetrators, at any level, accountable under law — whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy.”
Garland echoed the typical Democrat talking point that January 6th was an attack on “Democracy” while some on the right might argue that the left has been attacking Democracy. In part of Garland’s statement, he says that even if they weren’t at the Capital they will still be held “accountable” if you were “criminally responsible” for the protest.
As we previously reported on Attorney General Garland being confirmed by the U.S. Senate, “Liberals on Twitter speculated that the confirmation could lead to a crackdown on former President Trump supporters who protested and may have entered the U.S. Capitol on January 6th or engaged in other behaviors as well as the elected officials who supported Trump’s refusal to concede.
Writer Steven Beschloss said, ‘In the coming weeks and months, there may be a lot of insurrectionist Republicans who wish Mitch McConnell hadn’t denied Merrick Garland a chance to serve on the Supreme Court.’ “
Many have been waiting for some time to see when Garland will begin the crackdown on those involved in the protest as Democrats haven’t seemed to go a day without mentioning it. Even with Trump out of office, Democrats appear to still be trying to drag Trump through the mud.
