Biden: if Elected His VP May Need to Be President Because He is an “Old Guy”

Tuesday, at an Iowa campaign event former Vice President Joe Biden addressed his mortality. Biden, while addressing the crowd in what looked to be ‘freestyle,’ no paper to read off of started to describe a model for his VP.

“I can think of at least eight women, at least four or five people of color, that I think are totally qualified to be vice president of the United States,” the former vice president, 77, said at a campaign event in Clinton, Iowa on Tuesday.

“But for me, it has to be demonstrated that whoever I pick is two things: one, is capable of [being] president because I’m an old guy.” the crowd laughs at his statement but Biden continues. “No, I’m serious. Look, I thank God I’m in great health. I work out. No, I’m serious. You know, I work out every morning. I’m in good shape — knock on wood, as my mother would say.” and he knocks on his head. Media Right News previously reported that Biden’s physician released a statement on his health back in December. Biden has previously had some serious health issues, however, it appears he is in mostly good health as of now. Biden is 77 years old, just a year younger than his closest competition in the Democratic primary, Bernie Sanders, who is 78. Elizabeth Warren is also in her 70s and currently ranked fourth in Iowa.

At what looks like a different campaign event from Tuesday, Biden was asked about appointing Obama to the Supreme Court. Then he asked, which Obama? To which Biden replied that he would “love” to have Michelle (Obama) as a VP. See the exchange in the tweet below:

From the sounds of it, it seems that Biden is searching for his VP and possibly the 47th President of the United States. The Iowa caucus is this Monday, February 3rd. Iowans will select who they will back at the Democratic National Convention to run in the General Election against President Donald Trump.
