Black Enterprise doesn’t find Kim Potter remorseful because she smiled in her mugshot post-conviction.
Black Enterprise reported, “After being convicted of first and second-degree manslaughter last week, Kim Potter provided another reason to doubt her remorse for shooting Daunte Wright.
The former Minneapolis officer who shot and killed Wright when she mistook her taser for her service weapon in April was all smiles in her mugshot after she was convicted. This is a stark contrast to just a few days earlier when Potter was all tears on the stand.
Many on social media noted Potter’s change in attitude and the Kool-Aid smile she sported, calling her out for acting on the stand and adding that she must have done the same in the immediate moments after shooting Wright on April 11.”
There is a video of exactly what Kim Potter did after she accidentally fired her gun instead of her taser. Video from another officer that was on scene with Potter shows how she reacted. In the video below you can see that Potter is visibly distraught and inconsolable. The officer is sitting on the ground sobbing over her misstep.
This only goes to show that many people weren’t paying attention to the trial and only gaslighting things that push their personal feelings or agenda.
@iamcardib tweeted, “She’s smiling cause she only got manslaughter also because now she don’t have to fake it and she CAN LIVE IN HER TRUTH…Her truth is “ yea I killed him and what?!” That’s the truth she been wanting to say but had to act like she was sorry.”
