Brett Farve Defends Women’s Sports, ‘Transgender Athletes Shouldn’t Compete in Olympics as Women’

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Farve took a stand for women’s sports by arguing that transgender women shouldn’t be allowed to compete against biological women in sports.

“‘Unfair’: Brett Favre Rips Transgender Athletes Competing Against Biological Women.”

Farve said, “It’s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled — if you want to become the opposite sex, that’s fine. I got no problem with it. But you can’t compete against — males cannot compete against females.”

Farve appears to be fine with people becoming the opposite sex but he doesn’t want transgender women to be able to compete against women in sports. Like many, Farve sees this as unfair towards biological women as they are naturally weaker than men.

He added, “If I was a true female — I can’t believe I’m saying that — and I was competing in weightlifting and lost to this person, I would be beside myself.” Farve has played professional sports before and recognizes the problem with men playing against women in sports.

Republicans have been making a push to ban transgender women from playing against biological women. GOP governors and state lawmakers say they are “defending women’s sports” by doing this.
