Failed Democratic presidential candidate and former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg went on Fox News Sunday in which Chris Wallace asked him about his allegedly misleading statements concerning the number of jobs Buttigieg claimed would be created by the American Job’s Plan.
Last Sunday, Buttigieg claimed the American Job’s Plan would create 19 million jobs however the study he was citing said it would only add 2.7 million jobs. Chris Wallace called Pete Buttigieg out on this in which Buttigieg didn’t seem to have a direct answer for.

Wallace showed the study on how it would only create 2.7 million jobs instead of the 19 million jobs and asked the Transportation Secretary, âSo it doesnât, as you said last Sunday, create 19 million jobs,” he continued, “Why mislead folks?”
Buttigieg responded saying, âWell, youâre right, I should have been more precise,â he went on to defend the American Job’s Plan, âThe difference in jobs that that particular analysis suggests is 2.7 million more. That is a great place to be, why wouldnât we want America to create 2.7 million more jobs?â
Wallace continued to press Buttigieg saying, “Your the one who cited Moody’s analytics as 19 million and it’s actually 2.7 million which is a bunch but it is not what you said.”
Buttigieg deflected from giving a straight answer on why he would mislead the American people so much as the American Job’s Plan is clearly just a Democrat wish-list costing American taxpayers trillions on trillions of dollars adding on to the debt which both parties are guilty of increasing.
Instead of Mr. Buttigieg owning up to his clear lie from last Sunday, he deflected the question and continued to lie to the American people. With him being the Transportation Secretary for the Biden Administration, he is a pawn used to promote this bill.
We will have to see how the U.S. Congress votes on this bill and if they will pass it adding more debt to the U.S. as we continue to borrow money.
