Clearly Still Offended Nikki Haley Takes Dig at Don Lemon Upon his Job Loss, Tells all Women not to Accept ‘Past Your Prime’ Comments

Presidential candidate Nikki Haley decided to take Don Lemon’s firing as a personal victory of some sort it seems. Haley shared on Twitter, “To women everywhere, don’t ever let anyone tell you you’re past your prime.”

Her advice to women was spurred by a comment Lemon made about Haley, who is 51, being past her prime.

Lemon claimed that according to the internet, Haley was past her prime as a woman, telling his co-hosts to Google it. His comment seemed to be in response to her presidential announcement ad in which she called for a “new generation of leaders.”

It appears Haley was offended by the comments made by Lemon and decided when he was fired two months later from CNN it was the right time to hit back.

Lemon had been with CNN for 17 years. He had his own primetime show with the network until leadership changed and the new CEO at CNN, Chris Licht, moved him to a panel morning show gig.

That move appeared to let him avoid being let go for a time, as many others were cut from the network including Chris Cuomo and Brian Stelter. It didn’t take much longer though, and now Lemon is also out.

Lemon’s departure from CNN came on the same day that Fox News announced it had cut ties with Tucker Carlson, the host of one of their most-watched primetime programs.

Bill O’Reilly, who left Fox News in 2017, shared his thoughts on the pair’s seemingly coincidental oustings from Fox News and CNN. O’Reilly broke it down plainly. He shared that if those running the company see you as a liability, you will no longer be welcome.

He also stated, “That’s the nature of television news, the most wicked industry in the United States of America.”

National polling for the 2024 Republican field shows Haley towards the bottom of the heat, well below former president Donald Trump as well as some who haven’t even announced their presidential run yet. At this point in the race, it doesn’t look good for Haley. Many think she just wants to sell books, while others may see her as looking for a potential Vice President candidate. We will see what comes next in this presidential race for 2024.
