CNN Reported that Four Florida Teachers Died from Covid, Local Affiliate Corrected it to Three, Then Two

We here at Media Right News take any reports of death from Covid-19 or any other reason for that matter very seriously. So in our view, it’s no joking matter to get a story wrong, especially regarding Covid-19. It’s tough to say exactly what exactly is going on here with the Broward Teachers Union in Florida, and reports from local news affiliates and CNN.

Originally, CNN reported that they were told four teachers died, three (at least) of which were apparently not vaccinated for Covid-19.

Another report shows that three teachers and one assistant died. WSVN 7 News reported a correction that only two teachers have died now, apparently from Covid-19. It’s unclear to us if there was an assistant who passed away as well, or not, but it does appear that way, according to WSVN 7 News.

Broward Teachers Union President Anna Fusco also reported that one of the teachers had a pre-existing condition that reportedly prevented her from getting vaccinated as well.

It’s a wonder that the news outlets were able to report that a minimum of three teachers were not vaccinated when apparently three teachers did not even die. We’re not sure if CNN has corrected this yet. But Stephen L. Miller has pointed it out to Brianna Keilar of CNN:

Great work, Brianna

“Correction: The Broward Teachers Union originally announced three teachers had died but has since issued a correction saying two teachers have died.”

We will update this developing story as we are able to gather more information. WSVN reported:

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – Correction: The Broward Teachers Union originally announced three teachers had died from COVID-19 but have since corrected that to two.

Days before the school year is set to start in Broward County, two teachers and an assistant have died from COVID-19, all in a 24-hour period, the president of the county’s teachers union said.

Broward Teachers Union President Anna Fusco made the announcement on Thursday. She said the teachers and assistant were in their 40s and 50s.

“It’s a very sad opening of school,” she said.
