Cori Bush Lashes Out Over Byron Donalds’ Speaker Nomination, Calls Him a ‘Prop’ Intent on ‘Upholding and Perpetuating White Supremacy’

Progressive U.S. House Rep Cori Bush (D-MO) lashed out today over the nomination of U.S. House Rep Byron Donalds (R-FL) as Speaker of the House.

In a tweet made through her personal account, Bush called Donalds a “prop” who is intent on “upholding and perpetuating white supremacy.”

Bush, who has now voted for U.S. House Rep Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) in all six rounds for Speaker, declared, “FWIW, @ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker.”

“He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy,” Bush claimed.

Bush wasn’t finished, however, as she added that she believes, “His name being in the mix is not progress—it’s pathetic.”

The tweet from Bush may end up putting her in hot water whenever a Speaker is finally chosen as several conservatives called it “racist” in response.

Fox News contributor and civil rights attorney Leo Terrell insisted in a quote tweet, “This woman is an outright racist!”

Dan Bongino, who hosts “Unfiltered With Dan Bongino” on Fox News, said in a quote tweet that it is, “Maybe the most racist tweet I’ve ever seen from a lib nut-job.”

Host of “Fox Across America” Jimmy Failla said in a quote tweet that he was “Trying to decide if she typed this racist s**t herself or if she made one of her private cops do it while she was calling to defund the police.”

U.S. House Rep Kat Cammack (R-FL) caused a stir earlier with some comments she made on the House floor, suggesting the Democrats might be drinking alcohol, while proposing U.S. House Rep Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as a nominee for Speaker, but those comments would seem to pale in comparison.
