Dem Congressman Demands Trump Reverse New Immigration Ban to ‘Help Create Jobs’

Today President Trump signed an executive order to suspend new H-1B, L-1, J, and other temporary work visas for skilled workers. This was an expansion to an executive order signed back in April that was set to expire today. It seems the new executive order is even tighter on immigration than the previously issued order that Media Right has previously reported on.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), a former Obama campaign staffer, is ‘deeply disappointed’ by President Trump’s move on immigration. In a statement, Krishnamoorthi issued today he calls for Trump to ‘reverse this decision’, claiming the U.S. needs the immigrants from the H-1B program to fill ‘our dangerous shortage of health care professionals’. Krishnamoorthi claims this move ‘will only weaken our economy and our health care workforce at a time when the need to strengthen both is as clear as ever.’ See the full statement in the tweet below:

However many immigration hardliners are elated with the new executive order. Tucker Carlson, Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter have all pushed the president hard on his America First campaign promises. Tucker called the order, ‘if it’s effective’, ‘a profound and welcome development’. Currently, Carlson’s show on FoxNews is the most-watched cable network show.

AZ Congressmen Paul Gosar retweeted part of a tweet chain from Malkin and added “This took #teamwork and sustained pressure. We are not done. Just starting. Halt all immigration now until all 44 million unemployed have jobs. #AmericaFirst @AmWorkCo.” This was a nod to Malkin who has been a strong critic on Trump’s immigration policies pushing him to keep his promises to his America First Base.

With the country opening back up and people getting back to work this order by the president will leave more jobs open for Americans. Many businesses aren’t reopening after having to shut their doors during the pandemic. While other businesses had to cut their staffs back to minimal levels, leaving many with no other option than to file for unemployment. Most people are ready to get back to work and ready to be able to go back to living the way they did before March of this year.
