UPDATE 4:30EST:
What is claimed to be “whips” are actually the reins used for steering the horse. Border Patrol is unaware of anyone being struck by the reins which are sometimes spun to deter people from getting too close to the horse.
Julio Rosas tweeted, “From a Border Patrol source: “Agents use their reins for a lot of reasons. Primarily it’s used to steer the horse, but agents will also spin them sometimes to deter people from getting too close to the horse…We are not aware of anyone being struck with the reins.”

Border Patrol has heightened its presence at the U.S. Mexico border in Del Rio, Texas. Saturday, photos were released showing Border Patrol agents blocking illegal immigrants from entering the United States, pushing them back to return to the Mexico side of the river. The Border Patrol agents were on horseback and had whips to dissuade illegal immigrants from coming into the United States.
Liberal journalist Torraine Walker tweeted pictures of the incident and captioned it, “History repeats itself.” Walker is referencing slaves being whipped.

Today, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Border Patrol agents turning away the illegal immigrants on horseback. “Jewish Deplorable” tweeted her response with captioned “Jen Psaki condemns Border Patrol agents who were seen on horses turning away Haitian illegals”
Psaki replies, “I’ve seen some of the footage, I don’t have the full context. I can’t imagine what context would make that appropriate. But, I don’t have additional details and certainly, I don’t have additional context April. I don’t think anyone seeing that footage would think that it was acceptable or appropriate.”

The Biden administration has been very soft on the border and this messaging has been interpreted by many from all over the world that the United States has an open border.
Daily Mail reported, “In addition, many Haitians who are traveling to the U.S. are among the estimated 250,000 Haitians who left Haiti after the 2010 earthquake for Chile and Brazil. But since the pandemic, both countries have suffered economic declines which has sparked the current influx of migrants trying to reach the U.S.
For those who are seeking to travel to the U.S. from Tapachula, they have already made the dangerous journey across countries while navigating jungles and deserts as they crossed international borders.
Jean Edelince, 36, who is originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, told the LA Times he has spent the last four months in Tapachula with his family.
He had lived in Chile for four years but he and his family decided to travel north to reach Mexico through Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and finally Guatemala…
Jorge Luis Mora Castillo, a 48-year-old from Cuba, said he arrived Saturday in Acuna and also planned to cross into the U.S. He said his family paid smugglers $12,000 to take him, his wife, and their son out of Paraguay, a South American nation where they had lived for four years.
Told of the U.S. message discouraging migrants, Castillo said he wouldn’t change his mind.”
Nearly 15,000 mostly Haitians have been sitting under a bridge in Del Rio waiting for processing. Some have been returned to Haiti by airplane and the plan is to continue to send them back to Haiti at this time with 5 to 8 flights a day. Many families are being processed into the United States, however, and being given court dates to show up to.
It appears that many of the Haitians that have recently made their way under the bridge outside of Del Rio Texas believed they would be protected under Temporary Protective Status (TPS), which was issued to Haitians who were already in the country back in July. This TPS will not apply to those who have since made their way across the border.
Biden’s border crisis continues to escalate with insane numbers of people coming every day attempting to gain entry illegally into the United States.
