Former President Donald Trump posted a video clip yesterday on Truth Social that showed part of an interview with Megyn Kelly by Dave Rubin for his BlazeTV show “The Rubin Report.”
In the clip, Kelly tells Rubin that if Trump runs again for president in 2024, no one else, including Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis can win the party’s nomination.
In response to the clip, Trump declared, “I AGREE!” on the post.
Kelly quickly responded, “No, I don’t even think that a little” when asked by Rubin if DeSantis is “crafty” or “interesting” enough to take Trump down in a debate.
“You really think the hardcore MAGA is going to abandon Trump for DeSantis? They’re not. They like DeSantis but they don’t think it’s his turn,” Kelly explained.
Kelly then told Rubin that the hardcore MAGA “think Trump was screwed out of his last election, that he was screwed out of his first term by all the craziness, the Russiagate, and so on.”
The interview was included in Rubin’s podcast that aired on October 16.
DeSantis recently announced that he has endorsed Colorado GOP U.S. Senate candidate Joe O’Day, who named him as a potential presidential candidate that he would support.
O’Day, however, also trashed Trump during that same CNN interview and said that he wouldn’t support him as the 2024 nominee.
Trump called the endorsement by DeSantis “A BIG MISTAKE!” in a Truth Social post.
