Donald Trump Jr. Credits Tucker Carlson for Calling Out Leftist Skeptics of Hydroxychloroquine

In a Facebook post yesterday, Donald Trump Jr. shared a picture of Tucker Carlson from Turning Point USA’s Freedom Fights page where they used a quote of his which says, “watching people in the media talk down a potentially lifesaving medicine because a politician they don’t like endorsed it is probably the most shameful thing that I have ever seen.”

Vox ran an article yesterday where they said that the drug “has some worrying side effects.” They referred to it as “the drug President Donald Trump has recklessly hyped as a potential remedy to Covid-19.”

They reference an article released by the Hill on Friday, who also referred to it as a drug “hyped” by Trump. They link to a French report which they say showed 43 cases of heart incidents from those prescribed the drug but give no information on whether the report contains any information about success.

Newsweek recently ran an article with the headline, “Is Tucker Carlson the most powerful man in media?” They note that his ratings were twice the ratings of CNN and MSNBC in the same time slot. For the entire first quarter, Carlson averaged more than 4 million viewers per night, beating even entertainment programming like Modern Family on ABC.

President Trump retweeted a supporter earlier who said that Democrats “are fighting just as hard to keep you from getting HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE.”
