Donna Brazile Reportedly Departs Fox News, Inks New Deal With ABC News

In what is likely to be to the delight of most Fox News viewers, the network and former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile have reportedly quietly parted ways after she spent more than two years with the network as an on-air political analyst.

In a text message to The Daily Beast, Brazile said that her contract had expired and that Fox News offered her an additional 2-4 years, “But I decided to return to ABC,” she said.

The Daily Beast reported in part:

Brazile went on to add that over the past two years, Fox News had allowed her to make multiple appearances on ABC News’ Sunday news show This Week, adding that “all is good” between her and Fox.

On Sunday, Brazile appeared on ABC News’ “This Week” and participated in a discussion on the potential formation of the Jan. 6 commission, that was ultimately shot down today.

The news show tweeted a clip of her taking part in the discussion.

Former DNC chair @donnabrazile says GOP leadership’s opposition to the Jan. 6 commission goes “beyond our standard politics.” “If we don’t investigate the underlying reasons of what happened, then we will not prevent it from happening again.”

In a viral tweet today, Brazile led the charge against Republicans resistance to the commission.

“The problem isn’t that Republicans don’t want to know what happened. The problem is that they know exactly what happened. So they don’t want anyone else to know,” Brazile claimed, asking “Right?”

As The Daily Beast noted, Brazile’s time at Fox was also marked by several heated and tense on-air moments, most notably when she lashed out at Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel for weighing in on the 2020 Democratic primary. “Stay the hell out of our race!” Brazile shouted, adding: “So, Ronna, go to hell!”
