Elon Musk Gives Hat Tip to Tom Cruise by Complimenting the Original Top Gun, Will See ’Maverick’ Soon

On Wednesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared that he had just re-watched the original Top Gun movie and that he is looking forward to watching the sequel.

He not only enjoyed the flying scenes but admits that the “writing is good too”.

“Original Top Gun is a great movie. Just rewatched. Looking forward to seeing the sequel. Amazing flying scenes were to be expected, but the writing is good too”

He had told a Twitter user who asked what was the last movie he saw in theaters was, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” adding “I heard Top Gun 2 is good. Will check it out.”

Twitter user, @teslaownersSV, shared a meme picture of Musk flying, declaring that Musk could replace Tom Cruise in Top Gun.

“Could @elonmusk replace @TomCruise in @TopGunMovie ? I think so.”

@spideycyp_155 asked Musk if he still owned an Aero L-39 Albatros. @spideycyp_155 quoted Musk as saying “the most fun plane. Literally, it was just like in Top Gun”

Top Gun: Maverick is a patriotic American film so many have been waiting for. The movie had a record-breaking opening weekend and seems to continue to bring in crowds and smash records. We recently reported on the film taking the title of the highest-grossing film in the U.S. this year.

As we previously wrote:

Musk is the CEO and founder of SpaceX, so it is no surprise he is a fan of flying, even within the atmosphere. Musk has plans for SpaceX to get to Mars, and eventually colonize the planet.

Musk has recently made progress on his goal. SpaceX got environmental approval to launch the Mars rocket in Texas. With Musk’s ideas seemingly coming to fruition who knows what he will do next.

Although Musk’s companies are trailblazers, he faces scrutiny from power-hungry Democrat politicians who are angry that he left the party.

He also faces having to make tough choices in the midst of what appears to be an upcoming recession. He remains optimistic nevertheless, although he has been realistic about the economy too, in many recent tweets, warning of what may be to come in the near term.
