Elon Musk Surpasses Barack Obama as Most Followed Person on Twitter

CEO of Twitter Elon Musk has surpassed former Democrat President Barack Obama as the most followed Twitter account.

Twitter user Nick Sortor shared congratulations for Musk, along with an image of the number of followers on Musk’s Twitter account.

“Congrats to @elonmusk for eclipsing @BarackObama and becoming the most followed Twitter user in the world!”

Musk purchased Twitter last year, and he aspires to make it a platform for a free exchange of ideas a virtual town hall for free speech. Musk paid $44 billion for the company. Currently Twitter is valued around $20 billion according to the entrepreneur. Musk is pushing forward on making improvements to the social media giant.

Musk views himself as an independent, and the mainstream media sometimes portrays him as a right wing extremist. Musk,’either way, is a very controversial figure. He has clearly been able to improve engagement with his account.

He is also often the richest man in the world depending on the day and value of Tesla stock. Musk is also the CEO of Tesla, the most well known electric vehicle company. Musk has many other ventures and is quite a unique individual.

We offer our congratulations to Musk on becoming the most followed account on Twitter. This may also be an indication that Barack Obama’s popularity may be fading and that would be bad news for President Biden, as he tries to keep his mental health for another election season.
