Excerpt From Biden Speech Calls January 6th ‘Worst Attack on Our Democracy Since the Cold War’

An excerpt of Biden’s speech to Congress tonight was released from the White House to the media which mentioned the various struggles the U.S. has gone through and even mentioned the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta tweeted, “Biden to refer to Jan 6 insurrection as “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War” in speech tonight.”

With Biden promising this is a time for “healing” he has continued to mention the January 6th Capitol riot and implied that it was worse than 9/11 which more than two thousand people were killed because of the attack.

The excerpt said, “100 days since I took the oath of office—lifted my hand off our family bible—and inherited a nation in crisis. The worst pandemic in a century. The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”

Biden apparently believes that January 6th was the worst attack since the Civil War which bypasses multiple school shootings, 9/11, and even Pearl Harbor where the U.S. experienced extreme hurt.

Some could say the Democrats are practically obsessed with what happened on January 6th as they consistently bring it up as a political talking point. Biden is doing the same thing while painting himself as a “moderate” and “uniter” for all of America.

This comes as many Republicans are refusing to attend the joint session of Congress as some see him as an illegitimate president while others believe he is doing a poor job in the White House.

This will only make those who supported or participated in the January 6th riot more angry and disenfranchised from those in power.

Some even took to joke with this on Twitter.
