A nonverbal Brevard County Florida student with down syndrome had a mask tied on her by a school employee each day at school for six weeks.
“Brevard County Florida school employees used nylon rope to tie a mask onto a female nonverbal down syndrome student every day for 6 weeks. One day they forgot to remove it and sent her home, which is how her dad found out.”

Republican Congressman Chip Roy (TX) chimed in to express his disgust with this news, “These sick bastards tying a mask on with rope – on a non verbal girl with Downs Syndrome – until she’s choking on her own saliva – is the kind of evil that defines the cult of COVID tyranny causing revolt. #HealthcareFreedom“

Six weeks went by with this until the staff member forgot to take off the rope and the father of the girl finally find out what they were doing to her daughter. With the girl being nonverbal there was no way for her to even communicate to her father what the school was doing.
Typically, schools offer medical exemptions for those who have trouble wearing a mask but this was unfortunately not given by the school. Due to this, they used a rope to tie a mask to her every day of school.
With her being nonverbal and having down syndrome, it is hard enough for her to try to communicate with other people, never mind when most of her face is covered with a mask. Some may question why they believed it was better for someone with her conditions to have a mask muzzled on her than for her to be able to breathe fresh air and not choke on her own saliva.
We will have to see if there are any consequences for the school or the school employee who did this to the girl and if the school will still force her to wear a mask by tying it with rope.
