Former Kamala Harris Spokesperson Symone Sanders Admits Karine Jean-Pierre Has a ‘Very Tough Job’ and that Biden Had a ‘Slip of the Tongue’ When He Called out for Dead GOP Congresswoman

Former Kamala Harris spokesperson Symone Sanders didn’t mince words as she admitted that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has a “very tough job.”

Sanders also admitted that Joe Biden had a “slip of the tongue” when he called out for deceased GOP Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN).

The admissions by Sanders came on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” which shared a clip of the exchange in a tweet.

“WATCH: At an event this week, President Biden called out for Rep. Jackie Walorski, who died this year.”

“Karine Jean-Pierre says the congresswoman was ‘top of mind.'”

@SymoneDSanders: ‘It’s very clear the president had the slip of the tongue, obviously. … It’s unfortunate.'”

Host Chuck Todd asked Sanders, “How would you have handled that situation?”

Sanders responded, “Look, Karine Jean-Pierre has a very tough job and I think that a number of people could not do what she does every day.”

Later, Sanders said that emphasizing was most important and that she believes Jean-Pierre “Did try to do that.”
