GOP Rep. Andy Biggs Believes ‘The Final Act of the 116th Congress Should Be to Remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House’ After Poll Shows a Majority of Americans Agree

According to a new Morning Consult/Politico poll, a majority of Americans want Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to be replaced as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Seizing on the poll numbers, House Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) believes, “The final act of the 116th Congress should be to remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.”

“A new poll shows that a majority of Americans do not want Pelosi as Speaker. Members of Congress should stand with these Americans and oust Pelosi from her post,” Biggs added, referencing that poll.

Biggs also shared a September article from Fox News when he called for her ouster from the position.

He was one of a group of Republican Congressmen who wrote an op-ed published in The Hill that called for the removal of House Rep. Nancy Pelosi from her Speaker position.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is now a Republican Georgia Congresswoman-elect, also called for her removal at the time as she said, “Pelosi Must Go!”

In October, Biggs was part of a group of Republican legislators who introduced a resolution to remove Pelosi as the House Speaker.

The recent poll that was conducted found that 56% of voters said Democrats should replace Pelosi. 33% of Democrats thought Pelosi should be replaced.
