Group Headed By Corey Lewandowski Raising Money to Defeat Liz Cheney

It was reported this morning that a new political group founded by former Trump campaign manager and senior advisor Corey Lewandowski is raising money to defeat third-ranking Republican in the House, Rep. Liz Cheney (WY) for voting to impeach former President Trump.

Lewandowski has been reportedly sending out hundreds of fundraising text messages on behalf of his new PAC, Fight Back Now America, that inform recipients that Cheney “must be removed from GOP Leadership & Primaried!”

“I launched Fight Back Now America for reasons like this. We must hold spineless Republicans in Washington — like Liz — accountable! Donate to defeat her,” the texts reportedly read and they also link to the PAC’s donation page on the GOP fundraising platform WinRed.

Wyoming state senator Anthony Bouchard announced last week he will challenge Cheney in 2022 but it is unclear if he has had any contact with Lewandowski.

House Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) also is heading to Cheyenne, Wyo., on Thursday to lead an event against Cheney and Lewandowski retweeted a recent tweet from the Congressman.

“Liz Cheney emailing me a Karl Rove essay attacking Trump. This is the current state of Republican House Leadership. Pathetic & Unworthy of the great people in the America First movement,” Gaetz said in that tweet.

Former Trump advisor Jason Miller today tweeted out that Cheney reportedly “Has a 13% re-elect number.”

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” he added and said that he had “More to follow.”

Last week, we reported that the Republican Party Central Committee in Carbon County, Wyoming, censured Congresswoman Liz Cheney in a unanimous vote.
