House Passes CARES Act, Now Heads to Trump’s Desk to be Signed

The third bill to help with Coronavirus has now passed the house. As stated in a tweet from NBC News’ Alex Moe “JUST IN: the House PASSED by VOICE VOTE the $2 trillion Coronavirus relief package – H.R. 748 the CARES Act at roughly 1:27pm.”

The Coronavirus relief bill is now headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

Congress Thomas Masse (R-KY) Tried to call for a recorded vote, this would have meant that the members of congress would all have to convene in the house floor. His motion, however, died on the floor and the voice vote moved forward.
