Thursday just before noon, Nampa police received information about an alleged felony. A Nampa woman Hsiang Jung Chen (57) was allegedly trying to hire someone to kill her husband.
Chen’s husband told police about his suspicions. A Nampa officer then contacted the husband and detectives, with the help of an unidentified person that had a business relationship with Chen they set up a “controlled meeting” with Chen.
Chen has been arrested on suspicion of criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder. Chen was booked into the Canyon County Jail on Thursday according to online jail records.

While Nampa Police has been in contact with the man Chen was trying to hire, he won’t be facing any charges as “he didn’t do anything illegal”.
Chen’s husband is “safe and uninjured” and the investigation is still ongoing.
