MCCARTHY SHOULD NOT BE SPEAKER
Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced on Twitter that he’s set up a “transition team” for Day 1 of when Republicans control the House. McCarthy has gotten a little ahead of himself in assuming he is set to take over the Speakership.
I’ve established Transition Teams so that on Day 1, House Republicans deliver for the American people.

2. Oversight & Accountability, @RepJamesComer & @Jim_Jordan
3. Restoring the People’s House, @RepBryanSteil
While it does appear that Republicans will be taking back control of the house, it doesn’t guarantee that the status quo is appealing to everyone. Many are ready to see a change in the leadership of the GOP.
There are calls for McCarthy and McConnell to step aside and let someone else lead the Republicans in Congress. The red wave never materialized, and many feel McConnell and McCarthy are in charge of delivering on elections.
There will be a vote within the House and the Senate to decide who will lead each party within the separate chambers, Majority and Minority leaders.
People want a change, they want to see those who govern work for them and represent them instead of their self-interests.
There are many other options for Speaker of the House besides McCarthy, we will see who is chosen if it’s someone else.
