Jim Acosta Harasses Mo Brooks And MTG Over January 6th and Implies Conservative Parents Might Start an Insurrection Over Critical Race Theory

CNN host Jim Acosta harassed Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), trying to pressure him into answering questions about January 6th yesterday. Brooks barely acknowledged Acosta and refused to answer any questions before hopping on his bicycle and pedaling off. Acosta said “Congressman, is there any way we can get you to talk about Jan. 6?” while Brooks was unlocking his bicycle on capitol grounds.

Without even looking at Acosta, Brooks responded, “I do not do interviews with CNN because I do not trust CNN to be honorable or truthful. In response to continued questions, Brooks said,  “I’ve already said what I’m going to say. I don’t trust y’all to be truthful or honest.” After being shot down for an interview twice already, Acosta continued to persist. Rep. Brooks continued to ignore Acosta, hopped on his bike, and, as he was pedaling off said, “See ya! You guys will lie through your teeth any chance you get.” 

Brooks’ handling of Acosta has been celebrated by Conservative voices across Twitter. The Post Millenial tweeted out the video of the interaction and praised Brooks, saying, “This is how you handle Fake News reporters like Jim Acosta.”

Rep. Brooks has a history of giving the cold shoulder to reporters that he doesn’t trust or like. In 2017, Tom Llamas of ABC was chasing Brooks down a staircase in a attempts to get his comments on whether he believes Roy Moore over his accusers. Moore was a Republican who had allegations of sexual misconduct pop up from the 70s. Brooks did not want to interact with ABC or Llamas and can be seen hustling down a staircase to avoid them, saying, “I believe the Democrats will do great damage to our country.”

Jim Acosta also tried to question Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on January 6th. Greene hinted that FBI plants or informants may have been involved at the January 6th event. Acosta was not happy to hear anything less than complete admission of guilt from Greene, even though she was not one of the individuals who cause any kind of protest or riot in January 6th.

Republicans like Brooks and MTG are disliked by Acosta and other mainstream media types over their beliefs, especially recently, their fight against critical race theory (CRT) being implemented in our school systems. On CNN last night, Acosta mocked Republicans for fighting against CRT. Acosta described CRT as a good thing since he alleges that our country has developed to where it is today, in part, due to racism, and attests that we have systemic racism present still today. Acosta said that Republicans have created “manufactured outrage” over CRT and showed clips of passionate parents fighting against CRT at school board meetings. He likened these outraged parents to insurrectionists, saying, “What’s next? An insurrection at a school board meeting?”.

Republicans and Conservatives have been infuriated by Acosta and his rhetoric. TV journalist Melissa Moon replied to Acosta’s tweet, saying, “Parents can’t ask questions ar school board meeting now?Is that what you are saying”.
