Jim Jordan Accuses the Biden DOJ of ‘Weaponizing Government to Intimidate Their Critics’

U.S. Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has been at the forefront of the Republican response to the Mar-a-Lago raid by the FBI since it occurred on Monday.

In a recent tweet, Jordan accused the Biden DOJ of “weaponizing the government to intimidate their critics.”

The accusation by Jordan is one that many on the left made when Trump was the president after he appointed Jeff Sessions and later Bill Barr to the Attorney General role.

Jordan began by pointing out that, “Biden’s DOJ obtained the warrant to raid President Trump’s home.”

According to Ellen Cohen, who worked with the U.S. Magistrate Judge who signed off on the warrant, Bruce Reinhart, when he was a prosecutor, a defense attorney, and a magistrate since the warrant involved the unprecedented request to search the home of a former president, it would have been vetted at the highest levels of the Justice Department, including Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Jordan continued, “That’s the same DOJ that approved the use of the Patriot Act to spy on parents protesting at school board meetings.”

“They’re weaponizing government to intimidate their critics!” Jordan insisted.

Prior to that, Jordan provided a timeline for critical events that have transpired involving the Biden DOJ in another tweet.

“One year ago, the FBI used the Patriot Act to spy on parents.”

“Three days ago, Democrats voted to hire 87,000 new IRS agents.”

“Two days ago, the FBI raided President Trump’s home.”

“And one day ago, the FBI confiscated @RepScottPerry’s phone.”

“What’s next?” Jordan wondered.
