President Donald J. Trump spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast and in his speech commented on the fact that many Democratic proponents of impeachment, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) spoke about how they prayed for the president. With Pelosi sitting several seats away, Trump said, “I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong, nor do I like people who say ‘I pray for you’ when they know that’s not so.” View his statement below:

In December, Pelosi held a press conference and spoke in a striking tone to a reporter who questioned her on always praying for Trump and how she “does not hate anyone.” View the altercation below:

She said she always pray for Trump But I bet she’s praying for him to fail!

Constitutional Law Professor at George Washington University Jonathan Turley tweeted a series of statements in regard to Speaker Pelosi and President Trump’s behavior towards each other.
He states that Pelosi has destroyed tradition and abandoned decorum of the House, “In her press conference, Pelosi continued to refuse to acknowledge that she destroyed decades of tradition by changing the greeting of the president, making faces behind his back, and then ripping up the address. Saying that you were ‘appalled’ does not excuse appalling conduct. I have no problem with Pelosi challenging the facts of Trump, but that is not the point. Other Speakers have had such disagreements. The issue is her abandoning the tradition of strict decorum and neutrality as a representative of the entire House – Republicans and Democrats.” View another tweet below:
Pelos was right to call out Trump for the inappropriate timing of veiled attacks on Romney and her at a prayer breakfast. How about the appropriateness of demonstrating against a president at a SOTU? Pelosi's argument is the ultimate exceptionalism in claiming the same license

On Turley’s website, he stated that Pelosi should either apologize or resign. “For those of us who truly love the House as an institution, it was one of the lowest moments to unfold on the floor… if Pelosi does not apologize and agree to honor the principle of neutrality and civility at the State of the Union, she should resign as speaker,” he wrote.
On the night of the State of the Union Address, Pelosi tore a copy of Trump’s speech which included praise for the military, victims of crimes done by illegal immigrants, and cures of childhood cancer and AIDS. View her actions below:
