Kamala Harris Ignores Reporter Asking Her to Clarify What She Meant By ‘Equity’ For Hurricane Relief

A recent video that was released shows Kamala Harris ignoring a reporter who asked her to clarify what she meant by “equity” for hurricane relief.

Harris was asked, “Vice President, can you clarify what you meant about equity for hurricane relief?”

As we previously reported, Harris said the administration will be giving hurricane resources “based on equity” by directing funds to “communities of color.”

Ron DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw denied Harris’ claim that there would be preferential treatment in who receives assistance.

Pushaw declared in a tweet, “This is false.@VP‘s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified.”

“FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background,” Pushaw explained.

Pushaw then provided a website and phone number for those who may need assistance.

Elon Musk had replied to a tweet by Ryan Fournier who shared the clip of Harris’ claim and said that he believes the resources, “Should be according to greatest need, not race or anything else.”

Pushaw responded to Musk by sharing her previous tweet and reiterated, “Kamala Harris is wrong. I am in Florida, work for @RonDeSantisFL and know many people working on the hurricane response right now.”

“Trying to set the record straight. Thank you!” Pushaw added.
