Karine Jean-Pierre Claims That It’s ‘Supposed’ to Maybe Take a ‘Few Days’ to Know All the Winners of Elections

During her daily press briefing today, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that it’s “supposed” to maybe take a “few days” to know all the winners of elections.

In a clip shared by digital strategist Greg Price, Jean-Pierre said in what appeared to be a reference to the 2020 elections “It took two weeks to call every state.”

“In modern elections, more and more ballots are being cast in early voting and also by mail and many states don’t start counting those ballots until after the polls close on Nov. 8,” Jean-Pierre continued.

Jean-Pierre then pointed out, “You heard the president say this the other night, he has been very clear on this as well, we may not know all the winners of elections for a few days.”

“It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner. That’s how this is supposed to work,” Jean-Pierre insisted.

Twitter user Jhon Chávez responded, “That’s exactly how elections are NOT supposed to work. It’s crazy to think that even third world countries have safer elections than here in the US.”

“It amazes me to see how people think this is normal,” Chávez lamented.

Verified writer and screenwriter Matthew Betley said that he believes, “In other other words, ‘It takes time to get the numbers the way we want them.'”

Joe Biden previously said during a speech at a Democrat Party campaign event, “We know that many states don’t start counting those ballots until after the polls close on Nov. 8.”

“That means in some cases we won’t know the winner of the election for a few days after the election. It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner,” Biden added.
