Kayleigh McEnany Highlights Stacey Abrams Maskless Photo as an Example of How ‘The Left Has Betrayed Our Children With These Totally Insane COVID Mandates’

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany weighed in today on the Stacey Abrams maskless photo that was tweeted and ultimately led to an Elementary School Principal taking down her Twitter.

McEnany declared in a quote tweet of Clay Travis where he commented on the photo, “The Left has betrayed our children with these totally insane COVID mandates.”

“What a travesty. This (picture) says it all!” McEnany explained.

Abrams released a statement on Instagram today hitting back at criticisms of the photo, although she didn’t directly address whether it was appropriate or not.

“It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack and it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic,” Abrams claimed in the statement.

After then attacking two of her potential Republican opponents in the 2022 Georgia Governor election, Abrams added, “This pathetic, transparent, and silly attack is beneath anyone who claims he wants to lead Georgia.”

In the Instagram post, Abrams wrote, “Our opponents took a brief break from pledging fealty to Trump this weekend…”

Travis had brought attention to the situation last night in a three-part tweet where he began, “The number of left wing politicians who post photos posing without masks while all the kids around them are wearing masks is stunning. Here is Stacey Abrams doing it. This is child abuse.”

“It’s also worth noting that as an obese adult Abrams is the person in this photo who is statistically at risk from covid the most BY FAR. Not the kids. At all,” Travis continued.

Travis concluded, “I look forward to Abrams’s explanation for this photo. Maybe she was holding her breath like LA’s mayor.”
