On Wednesday, Kayleigh McEnany hit White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over trying to skirt an embarrassing subject for the White House and instead attempting to divert to “MAGA” Republicans in Congress as the problem.
McEnany Tweeted:
“The White House is back to the blood red Mega MAGA fear speech talking points. Quite a closing argument we will hear from Biden this evening! Will they go with the sinister red backdrop again? That worked well!”

She also shared a clip of KJP being asked about the now-deleted White House tweet that attempted to take credit for a rise in social security benefits without the proper context, that instead was added in a disclaimer by Twitter.
In our view:
Instead of owning up to the attempted apparent spin, KJP tries to lazily place blame on MAGA Republicans in Congress as the enemy of Social Security.
The deleted tweet read, “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership.”
Twitter added context in order to make the truth clear to the public during this midterm season.
“Seniors will receive a large Social Security benefits increase due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate. President Nixon in 1972 signed into law automatic benefit adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index.”
The White House spin on the news didn’t quite play out the way they would have liked with the added context. It may appear to some that The White House was hoping to take credit without explaining.
With the Twitter added context, it appears to make a direct correlation between Biden’s leadership and the big increase in inflation.
The White House doesn’t appear to like being tied to inflation and some may speculate because of the added context, doing just that, the tweet was taken down.
When asked about instead of owning, it KJP tries to place the blame on Maga Republicans in Congress as a continued threat to Social Security.
