Lauren Boebert: Never Forget That Kamala Harris Called Jussie Smollett’s FAKE Situation a ‘Modern-Day Lynching’

Following liberal actor Jussie Smollett being found guilty on five of six counts that he was charged with in regards to a fake, anti-Trump hate crime that he staged, many conservatives took a victory lap by bringing up many prominent Democrats who issued divisive statements prior to having the facts.

One of the worst offenders was Vice President Kamala Harris, who issued a scathing tweet after the news broke and then later had amnesia when asked about it.

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) issued a viral tweet condemning Harris and celebrating the guilty verdict as well.

“Never forget that Kamala Harris called Jussie Smollett’s FAKE situation a ‘modern-day lynching,'” Boebert declared.

Boebert added, “Today a jury found him GUILTY of lying about the whole thing.”

Curiously, right after the verdict was announced tonight, Harris said in a tweet, “For the sake of our democracy—put politics aside, step up, and act. Congress must pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.”

Many asked if Harris had any comment on the Smollett verdict, which is likely to fall on deaf ears.

Conservative Twitter user “Cassandra” noted, “Literally 1 minute after Jussie Smollett was found guilty of faking a racist attack you send a tweet with fake claims about racist vote suppression.”

In August of 2020, we reported:

After Jussie Smollett accused attackers in January 2019 of shouting racial slurs and saying, “This is MAGA country,” while assaulting him, newly picked Joe Biden running mate Kamala Harris leapt to his defense in a tweet that is still active on her account.

She called Smollett “one of the kindest, most gentle human beings” she knows and of the supposed attack, now all but proven in court to be a hate crime hoax, that it was an “attempted modern day lynching.”

One month later, it was reported that she “gave an awkward response” when asked about the tweet and his claims. “Which tweet, what tweet?” was her response. At that point, local media reports were swirling that the attack was staged.

Two days later, she met with Al Sharpton who said, “Whoever is wrong should pay the maximum. If Smollett is wrong, he ought to face accountability to the maximum,” as Chicago police finally confirmed the reports and they believed it was staged. Harris did not make any additional statement, according to the report.

When it was announced the next month that the charges that had been filed against him in regards to the alleged false claims, she said, “To be perfectly honest … I’m completely confused. I don’t understand. I don’t know. I don’t know the underlying evidence … I don’t know. I’m at a loss.”
