Lawsuit to Try to Rehash Old Dirt on Jim Jordan Emerges as He Prepares For Impeachment Battle

Recently a decision was made to temporarily move Congressman Jim Jordan (R) over to the House Intelligence Committee. This is the committee chaired by Congressman Adam Schiff (D) who has been on an anti-Trump tirade with the ultimate goal of removing President Trump. Republicans see Jordan as a media expert and conservative ‘warrior’ who will convey the Republican and Trump defense message as best as possible. Jordan has a history of dismantling left-wing talking points such as was the case during the ‘Russiagate’ Mueller Probe hearings.

The timing of a newly filed lawsuit is more than suspect, as it coincides with the decision of Jordan to take the reigns of being on the House Intelligence Committee. Filed Thursday, according to NBC News, a professional referee says that a doctor named Richard Strauss “masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match” at Ohio State University when he was a student.

He claims to have reported the incident to then-assistant coach Jordan. Whether or not these claims that Jim Jordan “looked the other way” or not are valid, doesn’t truly answer why something that has been litigated in the court of public opinion would come back now.

In fact, Jim Jordan’s communications director Ian Fury says that the allegations against Jordan are false. Bizpacreview reported:

The lawsuit alleges that the referee, dubbed John Doe 42, told Jordan about the incident with former Ohio State University Dr. Strauss, and the representative replied, “Yeah, that’s Strauss,” NBC News reported. The lawsuit filed in Ohio implies that Jordan shrugged off the incident.

“Congressman Jordan never saw or heard of any kind of sexual abuse, and if he had he would’ve dealt with it. Multiple investigations have confirmed this simple fact,” Jordan’s communications director Ian Fury told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Meanwhile, public impeachment hearings in the house are planned to begin this Wednesday and the different media outlets and pundits are trying to spin the narrative one way or the other depending on whether or not they think the hearing should be happening in the first place. Based on testimony from an ‘anonymous’ whistleblower that President Trump allegedly pressured the Ukranian President to investigate possible corruption with Hunter Biden, the impeachment push seems to have more political bias that hard facts supporting removal.

Most Republicans, except for the ‘NeverTrump’ types, and even some of them, believe that there is nothing impeachable and the whole this is a sham witch hunt. Much like many believe the Russia investigation was as well. Many Democrats, however, think that President Trump has committed treason and that he should be removed from office immediately, just like they thought the day he was sworn into office. This will certainly be an interesting week in D.C. politics and it appears to be shaping up to a situation that will be left up to the American people to decide what they think.
