Salazar made the announcement on Facebook Live. In his announcement, he states that they were flown to Martha’s Vineyard under false pretense, claiming they were promised work and other things as well. He also says the 48 individuals are now here “legally” and have every right to be where they were.
He believes they were preyed upon, he also says they were “stranded” in Martha’s Vineyard. They were quickly moved to a military base on Cape Cod.

In Florida, House Democrats want funding to relocate illegal immigrants blocked by Republican legislative leaders as DeSantis has stated he continues to use funds to move illegal immigrants.
Democrats have sent a letter to Hosue SPeaker Chris Sprowls (R), Senate President Wilton Simpson (R), and the Joint Legislative Budget Commission over the $12 million set aside to relocate illegal immigrants.
Incoming Florida House Minority Leader Fentirce Driskell believes that DeSantis has overstepped his authority to “score political points”.
“By all accounts and everything that we’ve learned, these are folks who were seeking asylum from persecution in Venezuela and countries like that,” Driskell, said.
“So, to the extent that these folks were on U.S. soil legally, there’s nothing that could have made his actions legal under Section 185 (of the budget) with these funds,” Driskell continued. “Not even if the flight had originated in Florida.”
DeSantis’s actions have stirred up quite a controversy, now all eyes seem to be on the invasion at the southern border that has been going on since Biden took office.
