Marjorie Taylor Greene Says That She is ‘Now a Certified Ballot Monitor’ For Georgia’s Presidential Recount

Another count of votes in the presidential election begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Georgia and must be completed by midnight Dec. 2, the secretary of state’s office announced.

Recently elected Republican congresswoman to be from Georgia Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted out that “President Trump’s recount starts tomorrow here in Georgia.”

Greene also announced that she is “now a certified ballot monitor” and that “We will be doing an audit checking signatures and doing a full recount!”

Conservative activist Scott Presler, who is in the southern state signing up voters ahead of the Senate runoffs in January, replied to Greene, “Best tweet I’ve seen all day.”

As pointed out by AJC, it will be the third tally of votes in a race decided by the narrowest of margins, Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump by just 12,670 votes out of some 5 million ballots cast in Georgia.

That difference was larger before the initial recount as votes were found on multiple days that went for President Trump and helped him narrow the margin.

Because Biden’s margin of victory is less than half a percent, Trump was able to request another recount under state law and on Saturday the president’s campaign formally requested the recount.
