McConnell Poses For Awkward Picture With Zelensky, Touts ‘Morally Right’ Ukraine Support

U.S. House Rep Mitch McConnell (R-KY) posed for an awkward picture with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and touted “morally right” Ukraine support.

McConnell shared the picture and made the statements in a tweet that was badly ratioed by conservatives, who chastised him for his recent actions.

“Continuing our support for Ukraine is morally right, but it is not only that. It is also a direct investment in cold, hard, American interests,” McConnell declared.

Rapper Zuby replied, “This whole thing remains weird.”

Former GOP Senate candidate Tim Swain asked McConnell, “You ever asked your constituents if they support Ukraine? Cuz they don’t.”

“Americans hate Ukraine and they hate you for stealing from us to give them money. You are a traitor to our country,” Swain insisted.

“Catturd” summed it up, “FU traitor.”

On Tuesday, McConnell claimed during a press conference that “Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now according to most Republicans.”

“That’s sort of how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment,” McConnell added at the time as he tried to brush off criticism.

  1. McConnell – Mr. Corruption McRINO himself – touts the corrupt dictator Zelensky as “morally right”.

Mitch’s moral compass is WAY off.
That explains a lot about him.

  2. Mitch McConnel is absolutely incorrect. The United States does not now, now will it ever have any serious National Security Interests in the Ukraine. None. The proof is the Cold War. American strategic National Security Interests pretty much ended along the Fulda River and the border with East Germany. American strategic National Security Interests extend no further East than the Elbe River. The United States has never had any National Security Interests along the Dneiper River in the Ukraine. Never. Mitch McConnel is wrong.
